How time flies in a non stop city...

and literally it never stops! I know as I stayed up until sunrise with a friend and the streets were NEVER quiet!!!

Reggae times in Coney Island

I finally got to go to Coney Island, even though i was on my jacks I still had a good time. I met some nice people. I literally just remembered this girl coming up to me saying 'OMG, look im a Jewish girl, with a jew fro (straightened) and I praise you for letting your hair go natural, when I conform to society' WTF!!!!!!

Raving on top of the city...

....or at least that's what it felt like at Le Bain, a club at the top of The Standard Hotel (Meatpacking District off the L train). Redbull are putting on a month of truly amazing events around NYC and I was so lucky to go to The Masters at Work event last Friday and to top it all off it was totally FREE! We had the best view of the city and the club even had a roof so you could jam out on top of the city....

MASSIVE shout out to Toni (friend & fellow Soca Police Officer) who was on her hols in NYC for a week, it was lovely to chill and party with her :)

Its been 1 month and im running tings...

Well I can dream, right? In all seriousness I really really love New York, its a big city obsession I have. A lot of people hate big cities, even those who live in them. Me? I wanna hit them all up! I think its the culture, the mass culture mix and the inspiration that lives in them. Thats what my 4th week in NYC was all about....CULTURE BABY!

Drumming in NYC & Editing....

I got to see my uncle last night woohoo! He is a drummer for Brit Floyd and the show was something else...check it out in a state near you. He'll be touring with the band in the US until June this year. it was my first live show in NYC and it was at the very pretty Beacon Theatre.

As Im not working on overload at the moment I'm able to edit some projects that I simply haven't had time to edit over the last year :( check out the tease for Mr. Pole, coming soon....

I love random things....

...like 26 degrees at the beginning of April (considering it was like 14 degrees on Sunday)! Simply a beautiful day, I only had 2 classes so was done by 3.30 and what could i do in this heat? Food shopping and laundry...I know I am boring and weird. But then I got to chillax on my fire escape balcony..BOOM!

Why am I in NYC....

and why am i doing this Blog I hear you ask? Well because no one likes a good rant like me and plus I can really use my documentary degree...

So I'm Liana, I'm in my twenties (im not telling) and I'm from Cardiff (that's in Wales...that's next to England...in the UK) and Im taking a break from my career in TV factual production as a Locations Director (im not sure what it is either) to pursue my life long passion...ACTING! But not just acting, METHOD ACTING. I've been lucky enough to get into Lee Strasberg Theatre School and after saving all my pennies i've finally arrived in New York City, concrete jungle where dreams are made of - I bloody hope so!

So im here for 3 months and each week I'll be posting a diary detailing what I've been up to. Lets hope I get more then 10 views...

Here's the Vids:

This was my first day -
